This article tells you how to check which version of Casedo you are using.

There are various reasons you might want to know which version of Casedo you are using.

  1. Each new version of Casedo brings new features and improvements, so it’s always good to upgrade to the latest version of Casedo. But how do you if you are already using the latest version?
  2. If you have contacted Casedo Support, we may have asked you which version of Casedo you are using.
  3. Is there a Casedo feature that you were expecting to use not working? It could be because the feature you want to use is not actually available in the version you are using.

In order to tell which version of Casedo you are using, the first thing you need to do is to open Casedo, then follow the instructions below that are relevant to your Operating System (Windows or Mac).

How to check on Windows computers

On this Windows computer below, the Casedo version is Casedo v1.10.

How to check on Mac computers

Am I using the latest version of Casedo?

Once you’ve established which version of Casedo you are using, you then need to find out which the most recent version of Casedo available.

Do this by visiting the Release Notes page. At the top of the page, or perhaps the second or third item down, you’ll see a Casedo version with ‘Current’ to the right of it.

If the version you have installed on your computer has a lower version number than the latest release, then you should upgrade to the latest version.

NOTE: Software versions can be a little confusing, they look a bit like decimals, but in fact aren’t. Just to be clear, these are the most recent versions of Casedo (at the time this article was last updated), with the most recent last – v1.4.2, v1.5, v1.6, v1.7.1, v1.8, v1.9, v1.10.
