If Casedo keeps crashing, it is most likely a problem in your Application Data file. You have the option to delete your Application Data in Casedo. Deleting your Application Data is similar in function to fulling clearing your cache in your web browser.
If Casedo is giving you an unusual error, or not acting as expected, clearing the application data fixes the issue in about 90% of cases. Especially if you are getting a Javascript or JSON error. Clearing application data works very well as a general fix. If you can’t clear the application data using the steps below and use Windows, you can manually clear the application data by following the steps HERE.
If you have been asked to email your Application Data to us, you need to do this before you clear it. For instructions on how to do that, see Emailing Application Data.
N.B. It is important to know that if you reset your application data, ALL of your casefiles and your previously saved documents WILL NOT be erased. However, your Recent File list will be cleared, so that until it populates again you will have to find your Casefiles manually until the Recent File list repopulates.
Clearing Application Data
When troubleshooting errors in Casedo, you can clear the application data file from within Casedo by deleting it. To do so, follow the instructions below.
1. Find the ‘Help’ menu in the toolbar section

2. From the ‘Help’ menu find the ‘Application Data’ option

3. After having selected ‘Application Data’, you will now see details of your application data, such as which version of Casedo you are using, your license key number, your email address and so on. You will also see 2 options, ‘Clear Application Data’ and ‘Email Application Data to Casedo’.
For Mac users:
For mac users, you will see a screen similar to the image below, simply select ‘Clear Application Data’;
You will then see a confirmatory pop up, as shown below;
Now simply choose the ‘Proceed to clear my application data and close Casedo’ option. Once this has been clicked all the application data will be deleted and Casedo will close. The next time you open Casedo you’ll be asked to enter your licence key.
For Windows users:
For windows users, you will see a screen similar to the image below, simply select ‘Clear Application Data’;
You will then see a confirmatory pop up, as shown below;
Now simply choose the ‘Proceed to clear my application data and close Casedo’ option. Once this has been clicked all the application data will be deleted and Casedo will close. The next time you open Casedo you’ll be asked to enter your licence key.
