You have the option to email your Application Data to Casedo. Sending us this information can sometimes help us with troubleshooting an issue you might be having with Casedo.

N.B. It is important to know that the data file that will be sent only contains your user data and includes your name and email address, it does not (indeed it cannot) include any of your client data except the names of the most recent casefiles you have used (because it is where the ‘recently opened’ file list is stored).

Emailing Application Data to Casedo

In the event that you are experiencing a problem with Casedo. For us to be able to help you better with your issue, you can email your application data to us directly from within Casedo. However rest be assured we know how important your privacy is, so this feature will NOT transfer sensitive documents to us. Through this feature, we will ONLY be able to help you with any technical issues you are experiencing, without accessing any of your documents and casefiles.

 

1. Find the ‘Help’ Menu in the toolbar.

 

2. Find and click on the ‘Application Data’

 

3. After having selected ‘Application Data’, you will now see details of your application data, such as which version of Casedo you are using, your license key number, your email address and so on. You will also see 2 options, ‘Clear Application Data’ and ‘Email Application Data to Casedo.

 

For Mac users:

For mac users, you will see a screen similar to the image below, simply select ‘Email Application Data to Casedo’;

 

This will automatically direct you to your email. All of the relevant data will be copied into the email, so all you have to do now is press ‘Send’, and you’re good to go!

 

For Windows users:

 

For windows users, you will see a screen similar to the image below, simply select ‘Email Application Data to Casedo’;

 

Again this will automatically direct you to your email. All of the relevant data will be copied into the email, so all you have to do now is press ‘Send’, and you’re good to go!

Now that you have emailed your application data to the Casedo Team, you can, if you wish, clear your application data. For instructions on how to do this, and its implications, see Clearing Application Data.
